I don't do 50p's anymore.

My pricing is in stages... Something like:

£15, £18, £20, £22, £25, £28, £30 etc etc etc...

I have quite a few jobs with 50p multiples in them.  I haven't priced with 50p's for quite a while but still have a load left from previous pricing.  I don't find it a problem really though - especially as about 65% pay by cheque or BACS.

I charge £7.50, that way they often give me eight and 'keep the change'.  It aint a lot, but it pays for the rise in diesel!!

Also, I can raise my prices by 50p and most won't bat an eyelid.  Next rise would be from 8 to 8.50, which again does not sound too bad...
