Hi,i have public liability insurance and every company ive been with dont actually cover you for the property you are working on. For example if you drop your squeegee on the glass of the conservatory roof your not covered, whereas if the wind blows your ladder over and falls on some old dear you are. I dont understand this. Any comments would be good,i think you can get insurance that will cover you but is about 10 times more expensive than the basic.

MY P/L insurance needed renewing last wek. Previously I was with Groupama and paid £87.00 a year.
I decided to get a quote which would include the glass I am working on and also for flat roofs.
The policy was £118.00 with £250.00 excess.
I went for that.
I used Simply Business and am a sole trader.
