Thinking about getting a Mercedes Vito anyone offer their views on them good or bad ???

Steve
New model with the different length/height, or the older one with one length/height?
If the second hands ones keep away from the 108 or the 108D it must have the CDI engine, min 110
Have to admit very biases; they also look the part, quality when selling your service in advertisements
Some may disagree, but I’m happy it’s got to be a lot better than turning up at you favourite place in a car/estate ;D ;D

Its a 108d whats wrong with thse models?

I'd heard with the ealier CDI models that they were prone to trouble around 50K. The one source was an ex-Mercedes Salesman. The other was "a friend of a friend". Newer CDI's weren't an issue.
Safe and happy motoring :)

The 108/d underpowered with weight carried. The Ninja should be ok with out the dry cleaning system, Have to admit what Ken has said cant comment as a few fiends have earlier versions of the cdi and never been given any negative feed back on them.
But saying that Ken is also correct, that new models on the market can be problematic.

Steve one word of advice is to check the exhaust, i had a friend who needed a new exhaust manifold and the engine had to come out to be able to change it.

Is that on the 108 series?

I do'nt know a lot about the Vito , Steve, but if I were to go for a Mercedes I would buy a Sprinter. More room, stronger van, better weight carrying ability, a better van altogether.

No argument from me the only problem with them is height, can’t get into underground car parks, nor in to out of town shopping centres and that’s only the short wheel base version.
