Chris, you got an envirodri or a host or even a sebo duo. If so you can clean it, just won't do much. But yu let custy know and charge a premium for lots of vaccing up the sponges. Find the envirodri ones the best I've used but fibredri by prochem is not bad.
-
Yeah the Craftex guy said it was like a encap shampoo that you foam up in a foamer then remove when dry. Think it's called ecotex.
-
Have had good success with envirodri and Prochem sponges. Put plenty down and aggitate well, leave for 15-20 minutes then aggitate again before vacuuming. Have even managed to get a few stains out with it.

suggest to customer that polythene should be layed on the floor and taped along the joints then dust sheets put on the top, seen lots of floors done like this when builders/decoraters go into a house saves the carpet getting soiled with dust etc.

Did some really trashed Sisal recently ........... clean or replace scenario .......... used Envirodri E30 and sponges but i did mist traffic lanes with M Power first.
By the time i had gone through whole flat brushing in, the sponges had absorbed and dried MP ........ not sure who looked more astonished at results, customer or me :o

That particular carpet is "sisool" sisal and wool from crucial trading and know what you mean about helping out.
I know it very well as just paid for a 4x4 m piece at trade price it was £474 inc. vat and non trade from Barker and Stonehouse was four figures fitted.
Try ringing Cruical trading for advice on cleaning!
Could belive the tech cleaned it as this is the mother of all shrinkers!

I phoned crucial trading to ask how they protect the stuff - spray with water based protector, no shrinkage problem that she was aware of . Hmm , dont think so.

Decorators the bane of every CC they promise customer but accidents happen (that’s being polite) tell the customer to uplift carpet and refit a few days later when the paint has cured. Then go in a vac.
