my batterys have been barely lasting half a day. i have a 110amp and an 85a battery. my charger is only 6amps per hour charge. i think that was the problem. ive bought a 20amp charger will that be ok.
or will it damage the battery.
-
it should be fine, as long as you don't try to charge them at 20amps - 8 amps is about right.

ive had all sorts of conflicting advice up to now. the problem is the charger i have bought charges at either 3 amps or 20. one bloke said 20 amps will be the best if i charge it for 3 hours on fast charge and then drop it down to three. is that right or should i get an 8amp with a trickle charge. ??? ??? ???

is there anybody out there.

I use a SMART CHARGE battery charger cost me about £60 to charge my leisure battery.Last for week.PLUG it in and charger does rest, set own amps leave on over night sorted
-
cheers, will the 20amp damage the battery
-
sorry had mine 18months so guess not
-
sound like youve had good advise. 20 amps for 3 hours then rest of the night on three amps. I wold also do a full charge at the weekend on 3 amps

20amps will overheat a 110Ah battery - smart chargers are better, thats what we use. Its a 16Amp smart charger, we charge on 8amps and it cost £60.

thanks for advise, know where im going now.
