I used this guy, originally found him on ebay

embroidery@stitchcraft.fsnet.co.uk

last order I had from him was

1 Fleece @ £13.99, 2 round neck T-Shirts @ £5.99 each,1 light weight water proof jacket @£15.00, and postage @£4.99.

And my original order was for 4x Fleece and 12x Polo shirts for just £145 including postage.

all embroidered on left breast and full size across the back.

I use a company called "Big Bear Clothing" based in Sussex.  Not the cheapest but handy for me as I can collect in person.  I like the yellow on blue selection.  I use that too as it stands out well.  I have got two jobs (just "normal" houses) as a direct result of people seeing what I do from the clothing so I guess it's paid for itself just from that.

support your local signwriters/t shirt printers, you should be able to supply your own choice of garment if you wish and you can see exactly what your getting before you part with money. ;)

What cybersye said is a good idea. Why not go in with a pitch. You send business there way and they let you clean the windows. If they say no, go to someone else.

My wife works her business like that. If someone won't go with her for no reason even though she can give a excellent deal to 90% of business's and residental, we don't shop there.

Will be going to my local place to get me a uniform made up and will use a pitch on them. 2 full sets of clothing is what ill want. Plus then I can recommend there services and my future business is there's.

If i was to stop going to all the places that had said they didnt need my services as theyve already got a window cleaner i wouldnt have a gym to go to, not many restaurants in, a cinema to take the kids or play center etc, its only about £6 for a polo top embroided on from ebay so id rather do this then offer free cleans to any company just to get freebies from them.

Chris

You seem to have misread my previous post.

I have not said anything about freebies, just business for business.

Also I said about not going back to places if they did not have a reason. If someone has a window cleaner they are happy with theh that's fair enough, you leave a card.

Don't want to come across in a bad way as I have just joined the forum and am trying to play my bit as much as I can. Next time before you jump, just read what someone has posted again and mistakes like this won't be made.

JP

Sorry to everyone about posting this but I felt I had to due to comments I did not make.

this is what you put
You send business there way and they let you clean the windows. If they say no, go to someone else.
i think that is not good business sense at all
how i read what you have put is this if i go to local shop and use there services then they should let me clean there windows for x amount if they dont go somewhere else .
not having a go at you or any think as i know you are a new comer to the forum and welcome i just do not get it at all ;)

I have used local printers, costs more but I show them what I want and so far have got it.

for sign writting I would always go local company, hes again did what I wanted I gave the design he printed

Vistaprint are a pain in the backside with the spam they send, (did you know I am one of the lucky few to free free stuff from them  ::) )

Free from them means there branding on items unless you pay over the odds and use there template.

Not recommended at all, cheap is not always good.

beware if you order anything from this company

my order arrived and did not come as i specified they had changed it to suit them, when you design it it comes up exactly as you designed it and thats what i expected

when we phoned to complain they made every excuse going and was not interested and very rude

i read how he is a nice fella and the items are quite good. i would have been willing to pay for the sweatshirts and get the fleeces but now he has gone quiet.

i cant help but think theres some mixup with you order, mine got delivered fast and his communication is brilliant with me???

have you tried (not being patronising) through ebay, find one of his items and click on the right hand side email the seller...perhaps he isnt receiving your emails

he must be busy cause we've all jumped on the band wagon and hes good so there must be other people reccomending him ???

Hi,
he is normally really good at replacing items.
When I placed my first order I ordered 12 polo's but order the sizes I would normally order in Fruit of the loom shirts, but the screen star polos come about 2 sizes smaller than the fruit shirts so he replaced them all with fruit of the loom at no cost and they were shipped pretty quickly too.

Maybe it is just due the the high volume of orders he is getting from this and a number of other forum topics.

well i finally got a reply... claimed he had been away for the bank-holiday weekend but my first mail was send 10 days before the bank holiday!!

anyway, said he would send out two fleeces (already told they where in the post), few days later still no show. mailed again to be told they must have gone walkabout in the mail! nevermind, he assured me he would send out two more, so that would be the 5th and 6th fleeces now to be sent out. anyway, mailed he after a few days to be told that he is real busy and cant get a space on the machines but will mail me when he has sent them.

i have today mailed him for the 4th time (i am mailing him daily now) and still no reply.

its a real shame as the items are quite good but if i ever get these bloody fleeces then i shall be looking elsewhere for my items

Its nice to have a Boss with an embroidery machine, she does all ours free of charge ;D
Jeff, would she be interested in doing some work for others if they supplied the clothing. All text only no logo work? If so i would be interested in a price from her please. Pic of what i have at the moment is near the top of the thread.

well if this is the case he should be upfront and just let people know what is going on. people have paid good money for his service with some poor results. i would must prefer him to say that there is a prob rather than broken promises of items turning up or lies of items being lost in the post
