This was a toughy
-
This job destroyed my body, Gutters and windows
-
That must have been a back-breaker Dave
-
It was , neck back arms, all done with a 60 ft excell, took 2 days
-
Did you factor in an Osteopath's visit in the cost of the job?
-
You did half a job ! Not cleaning the insides , tut tut .
-
A Super-lite is perfect for this type of thing, Luke
-
Dont think it is really Luke. Its still hard graft at that height even with a paintbrush on the end of any modular.
Gold Medal for you Dave - never again Huh ?
-
I did over 200 metres at that height, you have to have real perserverence and sheer determination as well as arms of steel.
During the clean i nearly broke my neck at least a dozen times.
Tripped over steps, rocks, down embankments, not a job for the feint hearted.
-
Well done Dave, I can see that one as a real bone breaker? even with a 60 ft excell it must have whipped away from you once or twice.
-
I would have opted for the cherry picker. Cleaning the insides of the gutter with a vac is bad enough at that height, let alone the outsides with wfp your a brave man - would you do it that way again?
-
I bet that's the 1st & last he'll do at that height with that pole. Cherry picker would have been much easier.
-
Yes I would do it again, I'll do anything if the price is right.
The wind was the hardest to deal with, especially with it being on the edge of the sea ad blowing an easterly into the bay.
You couldnt get a cherry picker in, there is no parking in the hotel grounds and it is set on a slope.
I think the only way i coped is because i have a lot of upper body strength, also I am a stubborn sod and wont let anything defeat me.
The job took 14 hours altogether spread over 2 days.
-
What was the brush you used Dave.
I've done several but not at that height, the vikan brush I use does the job but is too heavy at that height.
-
Jeff, Ive used the Super-lite for this type of thing and it works great because its so stiff and light, Luke

Is the superlite really that stiff at those sort of hieghts?
-
its not snooker cue stiff but it is fairly stiff and even stiffer without the gooseneck, Luke
-
I think it is a vikan brush from wcw, the pole i was using was a 60 ft almost fully extended at times,
-
Nice pictures Dave, that pole looks nice, Luke
