Title: Question for WFP guys with Pug Partner van
Post by: chrismroberts on April 18, 2008, 12:39:00 am
Just interested to know, if you run a WFP system out of a Peugeot Partner van (old shape, ie 1999 shape), what size tank do you have fitted?

When I took the measurements of mine... I wasnt sure whether I'd fit a 400 liter upright tank in so opted for the flat tank instead. Now this is a PAIN..... partly because I'm always leaning over the tank to reach my pump etc, but also because theres no space to store anything, and my hose reel sits on top of the tank (not ideal.....)

Does anyone have an upright tank in a Partner van? Do you have pictures? Or would a custom tank be required? I can't afford a larger van yet, so I'm thinking of changing over....

Build a false floor out of plywood over the top of the tank. Does your partner van have a side door? Mine has, I couldn't work without it.

here you go mate

fits...just  ;D

nah its not that tight, only problem with a upright is the poles, but they do go through the baffles fine and go into cab to window, doh!

I know one local window cleaner who has the same van and he has fitted an upright 250 litre behind the bulkhead with an upright 125 behind that.

This gives him 375 litres, and also allows him to see over the tank when reversing and still have space behind them both for reels, DI vessel, etc.

Dont have a slide door, no :( Would be sooooo useful!! Next van I get MUST have one....

Thanks LWC... thats really helpful, cheers. Thats a 400 liter tank I assume? Is it standard size? Good to see theres space to put the poles over the top of the tank.

yep, 400 standard size  :)

side doors are handy i suppose but i live with mine

poles do go over the top, but its a little awkward, i manage to get the supalite up in the roof, and thats 6ft long and no brush, any long, and with a brush on is awkward and probably wont fit, thats why you ram it through the tank lol

Hi
A 500 litre upright fits fine into my son's 800 kg van. It's the standard tank bought from Gardiners.

Most tank suppliers give the tank diamensions so it isn't to difficult measure it up and confirm whether it will fit or not.

I am chief :) Saw you on here a few weeks ago..... wasnt sure if it was you though at the time! Graham Phillips mentioned you were on the windows.... how long you been going mate? Been doing it about 2 years now myself.... got a Pug Partner (hence this thread) with a 400 diy system in :) You put yours together yourself or get it fitted?

Whats the vivaro like? Thinking of getting one myself in a year or so, either that or the Transit.

Saw Joe hatton on here too... is he carpet cleaning?

that 500 tank does look a better fit than your LWC.

how is the 500 ltr tank secured. serioulsy looking at partner vans and already have 400 ltr system wainting to go in. someone also said that the berlingo needs a bit of modifying to fit tank. how can htis be if vans are basically the same
