i have been considering the sl2 but im not keen on the fact it is just slides together, what happens if you get the pole stuck and you need to push and pull to free it which has happened to me before in a sash window frame, will it come apart ?

im used to using the ionics 65 foot pole very sturdy but want a shorter pole ,

what im really after is an ergolite, 8 ft closed, omnipole or xtel c/f  only 6.5 feet closed

I had the same concerns about the SL2. Now I think its the best bit of kit you could have!
Just make sure you look after it!

i dont get any of that, you wrap it round, you can tie it with velcro, i dont, i just hold it tight to the pole  ;)

Ergolites were on a special offer.

They still are on offer as part of their 'Spring into Summer' promotion.

E3 45ft down from £1385 to £969.50 (+Delivery +VAT)
E3 60ft down from £1860 to £1302.00 (+ Delivery +VAT)

So if you really want an E3 there has never been a better time to buy one. That's £558 off of the list price of a 60ft pole, a bit of a bargain at 30% off.

dont care how good they are, for the price of a SL2 at just over £700 you couldnt find a better pole imo

It would be a better pole if the last section was telescopic to allow for different heights of windows whilst working in restricted/confined spaces. Then it would be a good pole IMO.

I know what you mean Wayne but the pole comes into it`s own on commercial high work ie 30ft upwards,i used to use it alot on domestic and had the same trouble but in most cases a 24ft tele does the job.Come on Alex get un packing them poles so we can stop carrying 3-4 poles with us.
