Hi guys,
Today was out cleaning apartment blocks that I do one off every now and then. The manager of the estates company comes up to me and introduces herself then starts complaining about the standard of my work. I explained to her that I had done my best and spent double the time there that I had booked it in for. I explained that they hadn't been done since the building had been built 4 years ago then I explained that they were right next to a main road and they were also right next to the river. I then told her that if they were done on a regular basis i.e 4 to 6 weekly then they wouldn't be so disgusting. No matter how much I did these windows they just wouldn't clean up. They had little vents in the frame above the windows and no matter how many times I did the frame and window you could see the dirt running out the vent and down onto the windows.
So she said she would book them in for next month and then see how we go from there. So from a pain of a job I now hopefully have one of my biggest contracts.
Then an old dear phones me from an area that hasn't got a window cleaner asking did I use a pole. I said yes and she was delighted telling me about these guys who did her windows with one and they were really good...she went on for 15 minutes and I could get a word in edge ways. I think she will be a really good customer for me as long as I do her last thing. If she complimented them guys for 15 minutes then hopefully she will do the same for me at bingo, keep fit and all the other events the old dears go to.
