Title: Worn Tools (Ouch)
Post by: Dave_Lee on January 03, 2005, 03:32:20 pm
What do you do when the edges of your wand or particularly your carpet hand tool wears down. They do last a long time, but dont you find it annoying when the edge on one side or both starts to wear through, when the rest of the tool is perfectly serviceable. I have had hand tools (SS) built up with weld before, but the job has never been perfect. What do you do - just bin it?

I'm sure its viable to remove the worn out bits and replace them if you know a good engineer. Fabricating new wands or tools from scratch would also be interesting ???
