I've got a Shurflo Backpack, the one from the States.
On Monday I was doing my usual WFP cleaning, put the backpack down, tidied up, put it onto the van and there was a pool of water in the van.
I found a hole......well it was more like a puncture...about 2mm......anyway I don't use a trolley for the backpack, it's just too annoying to use.......
The backpack is sometimes chucked about more than it should be. We were working on a gravel drive. I'm thinking that this is probably the cause......but we have been cleaning this property for 1 year now and we have been on plenty of other gravel drives and not come upon this problem before.
It has been damaged before (not by gravel) and we used C7 silicone, very strong........but it did'nt work.
Can anyone recommend a product that will plug/seal the hole?

a fiber glass repair kit that you can get from most motor spares shops should do the job , ive used this to repair a plastic pond liner and it did the job .

You can use a epoxy putty that you just mix by hand, bung it on the hole Job done, its safe for use in fish ponds, so no danger of contaminating your water.

Give me £50 plus postage and you can have my backpack for spares , just got a dodgy pressure switch i think.

If its a tiny hole you can probably seal it back up with a soildering iron.

As said you fibre glass and resin, maybe in the future cover the bottom with some strips of pipe lagging to keep it from getting damaged.

Cheap and cheerful way that tends to hold pretty well is blu tac..........it tends to stay stuck although it may break up a tiny bit over a month or so but just whack a bit more on. Apply it from the inside though. Don't even bother trying to repair from the underside as anything you apply will soon fall off. ;)

fiber glass done correctly will not fall off, many boats have this on and they dont sink :P
