I find that the smallest you really need to go is a 9ft X-Tel. This is very light, easy to use and does still allow you to reach split level bungalow's higher windows. If you go too short with your section lengths the cleaning actually becomes harder as you have to move around a lot more to clean each window. Section of 4-5ft allow you to reach the whole window from one spot, making the job quicker and easier.

do a 2' that extends to 4'.

Smallest would be just to hold the gooseneck and no pole....!!!!

My shortest one is an Ionics 2 x 2ft pole. It is very useful when working in tight areas.

there is a 2 x 2ft section in the standard extender range and its cheep and very handy. we use them for shop fronts
