Title: Pump psi/lpm into resin
Post by: clean on April 08, 2008, 07:13:16 pm
Hi,i have just changed my 240v Flojet 6 LPM/60 PSI  pump to a 17 LPM/40 PSI that transfers my RO stored water then its pumped through my 29L resin vessel then fills my van tank,
my question is will the resin be ok with this LPM flow or is it more the PSI that can reduce the resin life ?
cheers  ;)

No the resin life depends on the hardness of the water going through, and nothing to do with pressure or speed of the water.

psi won't affect your resin but flow rate will, especially the more used the resin gets. but to be honest, coming from RO then into 29ltr vessel shouldn't be much of a concern.
