No luck here Len. You could try a message to The Oracle (AKA Steve Carpenter) as he seems to know everyone in the industry.

Have you sourced any bags for the older cloth-body pile lifters?

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Len,

There is a co in the US called I think from memory minuteman or something like that who have a web site with photos on that look for all the world like a holloway pile lifter. So much so that when I first saw them I thought ah ha Holloway are just producing that machine under licience. I have just had a quick look for web site address with no luck.
I am sure however I can find it when I have got a minute to look. Give me a few days. If you get there first let me know, save me looking

From memory, the Minuteman CC3 Pile Lifter has a conventional spiral or chevron type of brush. A UK contact is Scrubtec on 0121 355 8840.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

I never found one and sold my Pilelifter, but if I remember right Steve C said that Chemspecs pilelifter brush would fit ( but I might be wrong)

but what Len really needs is a way of getting the brush brissles to stand erect again, because thats the problom with the brushes, they don't wear away they, flatten down.

Sorry Len,

I meant the paper filter bags that go inside the cotton outer bag. Where do you get them from?

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Ken

Did not know they done them, I more or less acquired the machine as I do with a lot of gear kosher I may add! Been in one of my garages for a few years and thought I would bring it up to spec so to speak.

Have you tried turning the brush around,I have a Certified pile lifter and I find this usually works its not so much that the bristles wear they tend to flatten.

To considerably delay the flattening of the bristles on my Holloway, I use a block of timber to raise the brush from the floor during storage and transportation.
