At least that is what I think. Got asked to go and have a look to provide a roughish quote for an outfit I deal with regularly. When they asked me to go they stressed that if I did not want to do the job it would not jeopardise the work I currently get, which is very different from this.
A resume, the whole place stank off urine, there was excrement smeared on the walls, 35 bin bags of rubbish, loads of furniture covered in dirt and no end of rubbish on the floors. Two trashed bathrooms, a falling apart kitchen and a load of rubbish in the front garden.
To sort it out it will need to be cleaned from top to bottom including removal of all rubbish, carpets, furniture.
Thing is, I don't want to get involved with work like this and would rather a specialist "hazard" company did it. My first thought is to contact the council as they no doubt have similar instances. Can anyone forward any other suggestions of whom to contact?

After working for a local council for many years, we actually used to sub-contract this type of work out, as the lads would not go in.
Personally, I would be taking the job on as we do quite a bit of this work, and I think that you will find quite a few others will also happily oblige. If you do not wish to do it yourself, why not take the job on and sub-contract yourself. (taking a cut off course ;))

Take it on !
The "wow" look at the difference, is worth it when you have finished. Take before and after pics.
I do loads of half way houses and rehab flats etc.
Hold you breath and it will soon be done.
