hi, just wondered if any one could point me in the right direction? I am wanting to buy a external fitting for my van so that I can shut the back doors while using water fed pole and stand my trolley outside, also would use it to fill van. I have seen the fitting on many vans but have not been able to find anywhere I can buy one from.
thanks

I made my own.
Top one is for filling and bottom two outlets.

i think any waterfed sellers will sell you one, as far as ive seen there are three types, metal plate fits under van or one that fits onto side of van or letterbox on back of van,

very good! very inventive. The one that I was wanting looks like a plate with 3 fittings, I imagine 1 to fill, 1 to waste, and other for when I am using the pole?

£178 !!! DIY job = £25 !!!

well ok but how long do you reckon you'll need to put a diy one together, or even to go looking for a suitable one?
I'd rather be bringing money in.

Was done in under an hour on a Sat afternoon.

i like what youve done there Chriss. Good strong fittings, i would do this rather than buy an expensive thing, these metal fittings i have never had leak, and you have the benefit of not having to fiddle with varistreams all the time, just leave it on all day, & two outlets from the brass fitting. This must work off one pump.
Or if you dont want to drill holes in your shiny vans, then if you look underneath where the spare wheel is i think, i dont know but on cars where the spare wheel is under the boot, there are plastic plugs in the aluminium you can pop out to let any water out that might have got in there, just pop em out and put the hose through there and fix something underneath.

Thats right mate, run off one pump. 100 psi.
Under the van can be a bit low down and fiddly so thats why I went for it where I did.

What you have looks great, only thing I would say about this it would cause a trip hazard being this high.

Thats a plumbing fitting going through the van with a brass nut on the back i think. Might not be able to open your door to it's widest position though. :-\
-
i just drilled a hole through van floor and cable tied to bumper, but chris's looks better
-
how do you connect on the inside of the van?? what connection do you use for that? and the top one in the pic, what is that connection?

Far better than cutting a large hole in the side of the Van! Very good.
