Title: He's too slow
Post by: cat9921 on April 06, 2008, 02:35:23 pm
As I went collecting this week, One of the houses I went to had visitors, The lady said its the window cleaner and went to pay me and the visitor came out to ask if I would clean her windows as well .. ;D

ME) not a problem But I do use Reach and wash to clean the windows :D

Her) Ok whats that   ::)

Explained it to her and she seemed fine as I was taking her details she then explains she has a window cleaner  :o

Me ) oh is he not doing all the windows ?

her) no

me ) he turns up when he wants ?

her ) no its not that, He cleans my windows using a spray bottle   :o

Me ) what

Her ) yes and I have a conservatory and he is there for a good hour and a half..

me ) but are you happy with the price and the work he does   ::)

Her ) yes but I would like a bit more privacy  and its hard going about your daily routine with someone looking through your windows for all that time..

This must be the first time when a customer is not happy with taking their time with cleaning windows  ;D

Your thoughts please

If I were trying to relax round the house, I wouldn't want a smelly window cleaner (and I am one of that ilk) peering in through my windows for over an hour.

I'd want the job done 'n' dusted as soon as possible; to a decent standard.

So I'd agree with the lady.

What a laugh.  I got the sack from a job a while back for being too fast.  No complaint about the qualitry - she just thought I was earning too much.

was she a looker?

i was cleaning a luxury apartment block on the coast once while a photo shoot was going on for mayfar. yes thats correct mayfar the porno mag! it normaly took me and the other lad 20 mins to do this part of the block, this paticula day we were there 1.5 hours! they thought it was harlerous kept laughing and waving.

i wonder if they got me in any of the shots?

any way if she was a looker that will be why her wc took so long he was trying to build the courage to make his move!!  ;)

ok  1 1/2 hours is far too long, but no way would i take this job off him just because this thick customer thought he was a bit slow, sounds as  though hes trying his best and is doing an otherwise good job.
maybe for some reason he Physically cant go any faster, leave the guy earn a living, being so slow i bet he doesnt earn a lot as it is.

I'm trad and always have my spray bottle with me...it's no more ridiculous than hosing down a window with a pole :o

OK I wouldn't use it on big glass...that gets the applicator/blade and scrim...but for Georgian windows?....Spray bottle and micro all the time ;)

I did not read what you put untill after I came back from seeing the house last night..

What A good answer, I cannot argue with that.. Just an update he does not miss any windows and his price was 5 pounds cheaper than mine He is a good man and a very good window cleaner  ;)
