Title: Northern carpet cleaners
Post by: markpowell on April 06, 2008, 02:18:03 pm
I know that cleaners in the south seem to get alot of success with there websites generating a lot of there work, my question is do they work up here in the north or do you find that the phone directorys still the thing that customers turn to?

I would like to think we are on the change up here in the North.

Directories not really hot, but neither is the web (for me).

I am told that directories are on the way out and internet is taking over.
Just wish it would happen quickly then know where I stand.

Hi

That is a big question.

I would say decide on the customers you want in the areas you want & target them.

The best way to do that in my opinion is a good quality Leaflet.

I must admit I hardly ever pick up the YP's and find that some households don't even take it ut of the plastic although I do get YP customers but it is towards the end of its life.

Websites will become the norm because there are more computers in the households than ever before.

Leaflets IMO will never go out of fashion but they do have varied response dependant on quality and regularity of delivery.

It's just a matter of hanging in there if you are new.
