Title: E-mail program help
Post by: wilclean on April 04, 2008, 07:35:23 pm
Hi All

I did a flyer using office 2008 and pasted it to an e-mail and sent it off to a client but when it got to the other end it was all jumbled up. I've tried different ways but it still ends up the same. What is the best program for compiling e-mail flyers so when I send them to potential customers it stays the same. Can anyone help???

Paul

p.s- I've tried office outlook & windows mail still jumbled. :'(

Hi Paul
Why do you say that. I receive work orders all the time in PDF format. I cant see the difference between that and an Office document.

Im with Karl on this one, pdf is the way to go - but I do take your point, and people might just trash it.

this is what I though BUT there must be a program to allow me to paste a flyer on to an e-mail like other companies like ebay. Instead of me sending out flyers by hand I'm going to start something new in my advertising Campaign  by sending out e-mail flyers instead as it would be cheaper.

Hi Paul,

Good idea in principle, much cheaper than printed matter as well, BUT, there are laws which you have to comply with if you are sending out un-solicited e-mails.

Upload the flyer as a jpeg to photobucket.
Then just use the link it generates for you.
Its quicker and no attachments to be opened....

I would go pdf also.
My outlook program doesn't allow attached pictures to be seen unless i tell it too. At the end of the day if a customer is thinking about cleaning requirements and your e mail has wil clean cleaning services as sender they may look regardless of format. If they are not looking for a cleaner then they will trash it, just as they would standard mail.

pdf is the way to go.
But you could also paste the picture in your email.

Open the program your flyer is on, so your flyer appears on the screen.

Hold down the "shift" key and on the rightish side of keyboard press the "print Screen" button.

Open your email to write to them.

click mouse button in the area you are going to write in.

And then paste the flyer in there. It will appear as the screen shot you copied.

You can check you have saved a screen shot of flyer by opening word and pressing "paste" in there.
Or do as mr H says. Easier still.
