Title: PocketPC or Palm
Post by: ianhannaford on April 04, 2008, 10:39:59 am
All,

I am making some good progress with a completely new version of Window Cleaner Pro and have just got it working on a PocketPC - a HP iPAQ rx1955 - I am assuming that it will work on any device running Windows Mobile.

What other devices would people like it working on? I have had a look at integrating the Palm but if people are not going to use it then I would rather spend the effort finishing off the program.

Thanks

Ian

No its not based on excel. Its a desktop application. You can take a look at some (small) screenshots at www.windowcleanerpro.com

I may be interested in that program, as I don't want a palm pda.

Does it run itself on the pda though? That's what I want.

I've heard with George you have to keep linking it to your computer, and you have to add all the details on there and transfer it. ???

I don't want all that faffing, I just want a program on a pda, and nothing to do with my pc.

Hi Squeaky,

WCP is a PC program that runs on the desktop. The handheld version requires the software on the desktop to function correctly. To run a business from a PDA is almost impossible as there would not be enough space/power to have all the features that you would require. Its not that much of a pain to connect the PDA to the PC and click a button to transfer data. With the new version of WCP you wont even have to have a wire to transfer the data as it will work over wireless as well.

I can't honestly imagine a pda can't run a program that keeps track of dates and what's due and what's paid?

Hardly taxing for a Commodore 64, let alone new piece of hardware.
