how many houses can be done in a day wfp,in particular those who have a trolley system?
Ive always been maybe over careful but know i am full time i need to quicken up so give me some bench marks.......for instance if your day was full of 3 bed semi's all within a 5 mile radius of your home

I dont no but it takes me longer with a trolley with 30mit of hose than it does gettin the ladder of and just doing it by hand >:(

3 bed semis within 5 miles.......I'd say 15 to 20 of them

don't laugh but Ive done 15 per day for the last 2 days..i don't know if thats good or bad...now iam the boss should i be patting myself on the back or kicking me self up the arse.....

How many times do you wash the brush over the window neil?
i did a three bed semi with front bay windows 1upstirs and ground and it took me 50mins ??? from getting out of van and getting back in

With a trolley system, it would take slightly longer than a van mount but still better than ladders. I would imagine your average 3-bedroom semi to take you 15 minutes (allowing for set up time and packing away) so you should be able to do 3 an hour as long as they were close to each other. If you were able to work a 5 hour day, you should be able to complete 15 3-bedroom semi's with ease. Once you had a couple of years experience under your belt, you should be able to up this figure slightly to maybe 18-20.

i must be slow, im doing about 8-10 per day with a trailer system kinda same as van mount. Wish i could get 25 done per day!
thats all detached/semi detached average sized all within 2 miles.

I suppose it's how you rate an average 3-bedroom semi. In my mind this is a square box house with two upstairs windows at the front, a large downstairs window and a glass door, one window/door on the side, another two upstairs windows on the back with patio sliding doors downstairs and a kitchen window next to it. Realistically I could do that in 10 minutes + 5 minutes for setting up/packing up.

am i doing something wrong as i do around 30 a day ? ive never had a complaint 15 dont seem many .

Despite many honest, experienced guys on here telling people that 10 windows/doors can be cleaned in 10 minutes with WFP - I just can't do it!
It takes me at least twice as long, sometimes longer.
I just wouldn't be able to trust the outcome after such a quick clean.
All right, I've not been doing it as long as some, and might not have refined my techniques enough - but - I can't even do it that fast on my own house (and even after 15 cleans on my own house, I still muck up the odd window - see my earlier post "that little bit of frame above the openers")

I can manage 20-25 semis per day. If Im doing larger jobs, then maybe only 5-10 or even 1 job. Semis are easy though, Luke

Generally i do 20+ houses but today i did 35 it all depends on the size of the house ease of access and compactness of round

same here, im getting used to getting faster more water has helped, glad i got the bigger tank

this is what i call a standard 3 bed i can easily do one of these in 15 mins from arriving to leaving and i only have 6 month experiance but it may take twice as long on first cleanes
like aspects has said it all depends on size and access and no talking to customers easily do 20/25 8 hr day

A house that takes you anymore than 30-40mins with the pole is a big house,it`s access that`s more of a problem with semi`s.The thing that can slow you down with semi`s is the window`s along the side gate area where there`s little room to pole because of fences in the way etc,these window`s can take longer than the rest of the house in some cases.

i scrub what i can see squirt the sill and squirt some more, you've got to be careful though some frosted is just misty glass and you can see water spots some is just to let light in, and if you think im gonna stand there and get a wet head just so i can say yeah that is 100 percent clean, you can go away
but i have a few houses which are clear and i get wet

i start at the back on the furthest upstairs window. Do all the upstairs at the back and then go along and do the downstairs windows. Repeating at the front.
Once you have turned up at a job a few times, you will get quicker cos you will learn that some windows want to be clean regardless of how much faffing around you do. Others might require more of a rinse along a line at the top of the glass.
I know i will reach a point where i am going round quicker than the job requires but until i do i go as fast as i can. And be gone.

I never clean a top frame, IMO it's asking for trouble. You need a rectangular brush, pencil jets & a bit of practice. have the brush angled at 90 degrees to the glass or even pointing down a wee bit (plastic angle adaptor, perfect). put brush on glass, apply a bit of pressure & use the top beading (the bit of plastic that holds the glass in) as a stop with the tops (not tips) of the bristles. run the tops of the bristles back & forth along the beading a couple of times to get any dirt off (this just wets it & doesn't soak it). scrub as normal (steadily) but don't push water above the beading onto the frame. to rinse, push brush in same way as before to top left corner of glass & move along to right then lift off. It may take a few tries to get into it but once you've cracked it you'll save time & hassle & it'll become second nature.
In this case you will still have to clean the bottom frame piece of the top openers but not the sides or the middle piece. job's a good 'un. ;)

also the hose is such a big problem, knowing where to put etc etc,
but i remember i could do the 3bed semi we was talking about 8-10 windows in 20mins easy but most of the time less, if i wanted 15mins,
unless you have alot of houses in a row this is where the pole can fall shy of ladders in speed retrospective

What is a small house and what is a large house?
House are all different sizes and should be treated and priced individually ;)

I usually knock out between 20 and 25 houses a day when i just do houses, that is by the
old fashioned method of using ladders.
I am now in the market for a wfp and just tring to decide which one to buy, hopefully i will be able to
knock out more houses when i am up and running, as at the moment i am turning work away..
