In the papers, public schools have been forced to nearly doubled their fees within the past five years; only one group of high income earners; according to the papers; can afford their fees, and that's the top one (I can't remember the name); even doctors and airline pilots have been priced out of this category (apparantly).
So I can only imagine that public schools are on a tight budget.
State schools, in South East Wales at least, don't have their windows cleaned.
And beware of an Ofsted inspection 'one off'.
So how good are schools really?

The schools I do are still good, i have been doing them for 12 years now and never had a problem with them.
The schools have different frequencys and when they do get an Ofsted inspection, it means an extra clean. But like everything else, when the authorities try to good they don't do it very often so the Ofsted inspection only happens about once every 4 years if the school is lucky.

we quoted for 109 schools for doncaster education authority didnt get any .The prices quoted by other companies must have been really low.
-
no money in the ones i.d looked at in Kirklees.

So plenty of places for Plumbers and Window Cleaners Kids :)

Cleaned my first school today and apart from every window being covered with a clear film (for safety reasons) everything went ok. Quoted higher than residential work but kept it reasonable to ensure I got the job. Headmistress was happy and mentioned she would recommend me to other schools. I think having wfp helps as they were well clued up on working at heights regs and health and safety.
I sent letters out during the easter hols so hoping to obtain a few more in the area. It wont take many on a six month clean to boost my income ;D
Phil.
