i know this has been covered loads but i want to buy another 60ft pole for a big job coming up.
it needs to be used at between 50 & 60 ft.
what one would you recomend that is:
light
rigid
and would last
price isn't really an issue a decent pole is, i have been thinking about the sl2 but i'd like to know some opinions and why

buy the sl2, great pole very very light and strong. if you have a lot of high work it pay for itself very quickly

so its worth waiting? i don't need it for another 4 or so weeks.

I tested a sl2 (superlite 2 ) today they are as the name says, Alex why oh why did you not have a stand :(
go for a sl2 or the new (when realeased sl x) this is what I am waiting for ;D
top poles and really far out strip other carbons tested in my hands over 2 days.

Aquafactor was trying to flog one of there poles to my mate today and I was going on about how much lighter the sl was. He calmly said weight wasn't everything with a smile on his face but you could see he wanted to punch my lights out.
For me the lightness of the pole is everything. The brush on the current sl is not the best though.

I agree with the last and most of, I dont like the bentley brush at head height I did remove bird muck after about 300 scubs (about 40 to be fair)
the pole no conpasison what I saw over the 2 days, strong minimal flex, alex your getting a gfood name keep it up and surpass it ;) want to see the sl-x

trust me weight isnt everything when working at 60ft if its light but not very riged then you may has well have a old 10 kilo one.
you need a good comptimise lightish but quite riged!

SL2..... Used one for a few months now.....
I had a look at the Emporium pole that was at Windex and in my opinion (for what its worth) it is no way near as well made as the SL2 and it doesn't feel as good in the hand. Yes the Emporium pole is slighlty (and by that it is only very slightly) lighter than the SL2 but doesn't give the feeling of being up to the job.......

The Emporium pole is good enouth for Jeff to be cleaning windows at 88'
what comments do you have with this regard?
The Emporium is also cheaper than the SL2 and many really liked the roller on the back of the brush to aid with its erection :)

As a facelift user i would forget the telescopic facelift above 40ft. below 40ft the carbon facelift is good, 30ft & below- excellent but to be honest for work above 40ft i would go SL-2 with a cut-down, modified 10" rec' vikan mono if you don't like the bentley. ;)

i've got an emporium 42' pole and think it's great, especially the roller.
i've never seen or used a superlite so couldn't comment.
one thing though is whilst i'm really careful whilst using it, I would dread to think of an employee using it as I think it would be trashed in no time.
i'm advertising as having a 60' system and will get the 3 parallel extensions when I need to.
the pole is so rigid I can't see there being any problem with using it at 60' and above

I got my hands on an sl2 at the show (cheers Shiner ;) )
Alex you really should have had a stall :'(
I prefer the sl2 aswell, was totally shocked at how light it really was facelift pole also nice.
super lite did it for me.

The Emporium is slightly lighter than the SL2. The Emporium is slightly cheaper than the SL2. The SL2 is far far stronger than the Emporium end of. I would choose an SL2, Luke

Your choices are limeted Nat for 50-60ft pole work there is only one option and thats a light weight modular carbon fibre , either an S2 or an Emporium. Both will be strong enough for that height.

Hi Yes its Glyn from Omnipole.
I have become very interested in super light weight poles,
and have a complete concept that will be unique in materials and construction.
The quest is to produce a super lightweight with the strength and durability of our PowerPoles, a tall order, as many are still using our poles they bought in 1997.
Patent applications are going in this week.
It will be a few months of tests and trials before its launch but no other pole like it exists anywhere in the World.
