there are loads of places and the best person to ask is Andy at purefreedom, hes at windex at the mo.
I got my system done the same day, I went on a bus trip for hours and slept on there, there is a post about this somewhere as I went online and told my story while I was up there.
if going on the bus get a day ticket it is cheap and you can use as much as you like.
I tried as hard as I could to sleep as I too had a long day, but was like a kid at christmas ;D, my guy slept on the bus though

Too many threads are full of either wisecracks or funny comments and if I see them they get deleted, pertinent remarks are left in.
If you want to joke or lark about then go to the section of the forum that was set up for exactly that.
If all the 'Funnies' are left in a topic often descends into farce and ends out looking like a bunch of mates just having a 'crack'.
The question asked at the top of the thread is a sensible one, and the only person to give some sort of answer about accommodation was Ian (windowwashers).
Not one other person bothered to attempt to answer the question, every reply bar the first one could have been removed.
Others too may well be interested in nearby accommodation....but they were not going to find the answer in this thread were they?

can i just ask you jaykie why you need to get your head down for around 7 hours ? i posted a reply that you could go in to cleethorpes for the day as theres plenty to do which would kill the time nothing wrong with that reply , so if you could let us no the reason why you wanting to get some kip then perhaps you minght get a better answer mate . theres plenty of b&bs around there but i would think you would have to pay a full days rate . what date are you going i know a few people with caravans on the thorpe park site in cleethorpes 15 minute walk let me no the date and i will have a word and see if they are not being used at the time you go mate .
-
as dave has asked
why if its only for the day do you want a place to "get your head down for7 hours"
drop off van
have a day trip out somewhere that might interest you
pick up van
-
because ive got to leave my house at 3am in morning to drop van for 8 thats if i get a straight run, then it wont be ready till around 3pm then drive back home arriving between 9-10pm so dont really fancy being tired on return journey.
Chris

yes i can see your point jaykie when do you go ive mates with caravans on the thorpe park site who if they are not using them at the time would probally let you get your head down there mate .

i,ve done that journey from tunbridge wells if i was you ( are you from eastbourne ) i would allow another hour , don,t worry to much about the fatigue you can always stop and have a few winks on the way back and if you need to kill some time i think clethorpes as suggested before is a good idea oh and its pretty windy up there

its near the docks, so in my opinion that is a valid answer Ian... otherwise why would i post it?..its an answer to pass the day away whilst purefreedom kit him out.
Gary.

Gary, Some good replies for Jaykie, but the thrust of his thread is about accommodation, not things to do.
And you will note that your post about fishing was NOT removed....but others were because the thread was going instantly jokey.

i only went to pick up a trolley system so i was,nt there very long , all i,d say is leave early as you can the a1 can be a difficult road at the best of times , there premises are on an old fashioned industrial estate so as i said before just leave them to get on with the van and do a bit of sight seeing , if you want to ask any questions my number is 07791964204 regards alan
