Title: Training
Post by: Egg on March 26, 2008, 05:11:08 pm
Hi Guys

I am looking at getting into carpet cleaning, have worked as a window cleaner for several years, but want to expand the business as my wife wants to get involved with the company, and carpet cleaning seems ideal

We both want to do a training course, but have noticed there are a lot to choose from. Any feedback on what is a good course for a total beginner would be really appreciated

Thanks
Egg

Most companies that sell kit run courses and are aligned to their product range (which isn't a bad thing) so maybe home in on the machine you need and your budget.

When you get more experienced the NCCA course would be of more value.

Best of all get a carpet cleaner to take you cleaning for a day. One that's sufficiently far away not to be competition.

There is tons of info. on here too. :)

NCCA course in April go to www.ncca.co.uk  usually at Leicester and a Fri/Sat.

I went last Dec and out of 24 in attendance, half were beginners like yourself, no experiance and no machine.
About 5 were ladies.

Thanks for the help, working along with someone for a day sounds a good idea

I'll sift through the posts and check out the ncca website on here and see what I can pick up

Thanks
