I have a sign written van which I consider a waste of money, so I would never put it on my car aswell.

I will not be sign writting my next van either.

VistaPrint have just started selling magnetic signs for cars, and are reasonably priced.

ALL MY VANS ARE SIGNWRITTEN , YOU MIGHT NOT THINK YOU GET WORK FROM THEM BUT HAVE YOU ACTUALLY ASKED WHERE THEY GOT YOUR NAME, NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN THEY REMEMBER THE VAN SUBCONCIOUSLY (sorry just realised the capitals!), anyway then find you in the book i have found

I don't believe it has been worth the money and time invested in it,the only thing is customers and their neighbours know who is turning up and not just a white van being suspicious.

Sign written van definitely works for me. I always get telephone calls from it. I use large magnetic van signs. When I change the van , the signs come off and go on the new one, everytime.

mmmm not sure if we get any direct work from the sign writing on the vans but it definitely does promote a more professional image - and that is exactly what brings in most of the work for us

Thrifty ! I like it , you must have yorkshire ancestry  ;D  Do you think it would work on an 04 vectra though ?  ( not the ancestry bit before anyone comments ) !

I once used magnetic signs when i had an older astra van.... i hated them... i used them for sticking on for pressure washing...

i really thought they looked tacky... they were 2ft long x 1 ft wide.. really cheap but looked it too...

i got no work from them... ( i always ask)....

But i want my expert van sign written,

one or two are saying they recieve nothing from that.... i have to disagree,

if nothing else, you will look professional in my opinion, and you have to be that, if you are serious about your business.

Gary.

I've had 2 vans signwritten,... both times I got work from the signwriting before it had even left the signwriters car park! The first time it was a job worth over half the cost of the livery,...

IMO its the best money you can spend on advertising. It raises your company profile in the geographical area you need it, and gives you and your company a more professional image.

That being said, I have seen some designs that probably do more harm than good,....

ask yourself how many times you've  had people  enquire whilst you've been seen working, then ask yourself would they have approached you had you not had a sign written van. I think that advertising your services shows commitment and professionalism and makes you more approachable because they already know who you are and what you do.

i could say i havent had any work from my van sign writting...but then, my buisness has gone up and up since having it. without it i wouldnt have picked up this superb hotel i do every week. and then this latest contract i certainly wouldt of got without my sign writting and it is ALOT of money every month

ok ive had my sign writting 2 years, but if i looked back 2 years ago when i was driving round in a car with a roof rack and ladders on, and look at my pitiful earnings then to now...well worth it in my opinion

having something a little different is good to, just make sure its clear you are a WINDOW CLEANER!!!

Every van sign-written

best supplier of business

even have transit with signs on roof, first week got a 14 flat builders clean, when asked how he heard of us he laughs,

" standing looking out of windows thinking how to solve a problem of the brickie and what does i see? a cleaner who advertises on the roof of a van"

your vans advertise 24/7 parked, working, traveling even when the boys are skiving off at the roll shop, the van is still "working"

it only takes one job to pay for it
