our polo shirts are from www.xamax.co.uk (http://www.xamax.co.uk)
our jackets are Sprayway Goretex (£110 each before embroidery)
our trousers are GoreTex (the actual brand) about £100 each
pretty expensive but nothing compares to them and so far they have lasted twice as long as the cheaper stuff we had before so probably don't cost anymore in the long run.
-
oh forgot we also have regatta x-ert fleeces too
they're pretty good jackets, waterproof, windproof and breatheable - they look good too and at £40 a jacket, also affordable.

Are you mad ?
-
what do you mean am I mad?
don't get it.
-
I use Workwearhouse and have found them very good quality.

High prices !
-
High prices? You pay for what you get - simple as that.
The polo shirts are pretty rubbish quality but we buy 20 at a time (there's 4 of us) so that equals a fresh shirt everyday of the week.
Look at it this way
2 jackets per man = £220
2 trousers per man = £200
5 polo shirts = £20
pair of boots = £60
total cost = £500 per man
We look good, it definitely helps getting new jobs/better jobs
Staff and myself work better (its a psychological thing) in Uniform.
I agree yes the jackets and trousers are expensive but they last really well.
Only my son and I have the regatta x-ert jackets, we bought them for leisure wear but got them embroidered anyway - always advertising.
-
Now you come to mention it can see the benefits .
-
you probably could kit yourself out a lot cheaper, and still look good - but will it last, will it perform?
remember we operate in sunny scotland - it can get pretty blowy and pretty cold up here so technical clothing is a must.
-
I agree, in this life you have to pay for what you get and quality costs, I don't mean to be judgemental or start a row, but Ive found on these forums that there are a lot of people always trying to do everything as cheaply as possible. I can understand this and each to his own, but my personal opinion is anything you can do to look more professional and stand out has to be worth its weight in gold. Just looking at the bigger picture...

North Face or Berghaus from my hat down to my socks.
