Title: im wfp, who does driveways & patios?
Post by: Mr. S on March 23, 2008, 07:26:14 pm
ive been wfp for 2 years now and have been considering broadening my horizons. Who cleans patios and/ordriveways and what equipment would i need and technical advice?

I am happy with my window cleaning set up but would like to offer another service like patios etc as i keep being asked?

Cheers Craig

I offer this & its defo seasonal work can be good paying too even with a smallish P/washer but you do have to get the price right or it will seem to take you forever for the money aim for around £50 ph then it will be worth it

get as big a machine as you can afford, not a b&q tiddler.  To keep the time down to a minimum get yourself a rotary surface cleaner, these are great and dont leave zebra stripes.

On an average job, like a drive I charge about £2.50 a square meter then if you are doing blocks you add a bit on for resanding.    ( the prices range I beleive, depending where abouts in the country you are.  I've heard of people charging £4 -£5 psm

It is a good ad on and you can earn some good money but you need to advertise it well and it really is seasonal,
