Title: airlock in shuflo ?
Post by: see clear lee on March 23, 2008, 06:47:17 pm
now does this just happen to me , ive all fittings the hozelock type but every monday morning after the wfp has not been used for a couple of days ive got to suck the water through the shuuflo, ive got see through pipe so i can see where the water and air lock is, its always before the filter which is attatched to the pump so when the digital varistream is switched on for the 1st time it just powers up without moving ( sucking & pushing ) the water untill i suck it through, is this normal as its a pain and does this happen to anyone else if not what may be the cure ?

before you connect up to your hose real let some water pump through for around 30 seconds  :)

find out where the air is getting in, eg is the filter letting air in, also you could fit a non return valve or something like it, just after tank.

Non return valve.
Good on a trolley system.
Beats air getting into the pipe on changing barrels.
