Your thoughts on this one guys and gals
weve just had a new combi boiler fitted at home and the plumber is recomending we fit a "combimate" to the cold supply to reduce limescale , now thing is that this adds a food grade additive to the water supply that lines the pipes so that limescale will not build up and damage the boiler, but what i'm thinking is will this additive affect my RO filters or the quality of my Pure water
Take a look at it please

the additive is siliphos which suspends ions in the water preventing them from accumulating in pipework etc. I can't see this doing any damage to ro.
you might want to check with a tech from derwent water or somewhere similar.

Fit the combi mate just before the boiler this way it is only treating the water that passes through the boiler(water that comes out of your hot taps). If you do it this way any water from an outside tap will not have passed through the combi mate.

For me this is probably not an option because we have just had a new kitchen fitted to and the pipework for the boiler is located in a 40mm gap down the side of the cabinets so not really any space for it to go
