Title: Our sign writing. what do you think.
Post by: TVCS on March 20, 2008, 04:32:27 pm
Just got our proof through and was wondering what you guys think.

The van is AA yellow, not as day-glow as the proof looks.
  All comments greatfully received.

yr bulletin points look too small maybe you have too many...think about condensing them but apart from that A1.

Maybe rethink the colour of the bullet points too, they look hard to read.

Good luck

I second that.  Green on yellow isn't a good combination for readability IMO - even if it is AA yellow.  Yellow and blue contrast quite well and maybe even yellow and black.

did you see the istockphoto on your water drop ?

and maybe bold font for the things you want to stick out as at the mo it seems the otherway round.

apart from them little bits looks ok  better than not having a van sign written IMO  ;)

The istockphoto wording won't be on the finished item I have been told.

I quite like the green lettering, but will have a think about maybe a blue instead.   And as for the bullet points, we have already reduced them a couple of times and those are the main points I want to advertise. ;D ;D

Thanks for the imput and comments, much appreciated.

Elite mike, well done.  10 points.  and thanks for the kisses :-*

Looks good m8... Also think about getting the van colour coded. Costs about £400 but makes it stand out a lot more.

Regards

Very good but I would put 'window cleaning' in bigger bolder writing somewhere. Remember, you want people to know what your business is as soon as they see your van and not have to read it.
Thats the mistake I made.
If I saw your van on the road I would firstly think you were office cleaners.

Completely agree make it obvious what the bigger bulk of your business is.

I think the sign writing is fine but I really dont like the van colour to be honest.

The van itself isn't this shade of yellow,  it is an ex AA van  and so it isn't this bright.  The same colour as a tin of Boddingtons funnily enough.

Will think about putting window cleaning in a bolder font, maybe.

Thanks for comments, keep em coming

IMO both numbers.  I have a answer machine on the land line and the mobile is always with me.  I would not just put a mobile number as it doesnt look professional, IMO.  having a landline lets people see what area code you are in and helps to put across the 'local' element of advertising.

Again I dont  see an 0845 number  to be much of a benefit.  Again the whole point to me of having a land line number is it again shows the location where you are based.

I was wondering who would spot the magic pole .
