Seriously now , I've lugged the Extracta Exel around for years , how does the super powerful Eclipse compare.
Cheers,

There is no comparison the eclipse is much more powerful than an exel.I had an exel for 4 years but this machine blows the exel away.It is heavier than an exel which is about 103lbs I can pick it up but would not want to carry it very far.

Not sure of prices, but there is a company that supplies 12v electric winches that can be fitted in vehicles. Try Northern Tool & Equipment Co.Ltd. Cost of a couple of days off with the dreaded strained back offsets the price.

I got my Dad to make me one.
Its a thick piece of board about three foot long and hinged onto the back of the van. It folds down to about a 45 degree angle and then a frame flips out from underneath to rest on the ground. I tilt the machine on its back wheels and simpley put the front wheels on the ramp and push into the van. I had a full lenght ramp before this but was cumbersum and hard to store in the van. I could send you a pic if required.

Hi Steve
I’ve got a scudo van with a door on either side. I have built a false floor across the width of the van which my machine sits on (as well as some other equipment) and a ramp that slides in/out from under the false floor allowing me to unload from either side onto the footpath. The ramp is not fixed, I can remove it completely if needed. Made it from mdf and a bit of timber and it took me about 3 hours and cost no more than £30 and has paid for itself over and over again.
I guess it would also work from the back doors as well!
If you want some pics...
