Title: Whiteish Silver Spotting Problem
Post by: L.Doubtfire - The Blade Runner on March 18, 2008, 01:16:37 pm
Any ideas on whats causing this.I do an account,it`s an administration office.
It`s a bi-monthly job.There are certain windows,not them all,but it`s always
The same ones. They seem to `silver`or ẁhite`spot every clean. This morning
Was the worst ever ! I`ve been doing this account for about 3 years now.The
`spots` are a whiteish silver colour.Some are in `ring`form or shape,the others
Are solid. Some are a quarter of an inch nearly in size.2 of the windows were
Completely covered after this mornings clean. If I take my Ettore `Back Flip`
And clean them `trad`they come up clean and spot free.So the windows ar`nt
Etched`or scratched or anything because on some it does give that appearance
Which is what I thought it was at first. All replies and comments much appreciated.

It makes no difference with ali if you do the frames or not, once water is near ali it will leach milky patches and leave spots especially in the corners and an inch down from the top, most business buildings are ali framed and are a nightmare WFP.The boxed ali frames with rubber seals are easier to clean.

NWH,I`ve just thought of something,it`s been a long day.Powder coating
Might be it,there`s a few things I want to look into regarding this problem.
Give me a couple of days or so.It`s too long for an e,mail, either way I`ll
Come back on it by the weekend.

Wipe the wet window with a cloth. Do you see the "ghost" of the mark. There is a point in time as the glass dries where you can see some marks that are etched onto the surface of the glass very clearly and nothing I have ever tried will shift them.
