Title: Ebay, do people not do their homework
Post by: Ian Rochester on March 16, 2008, 06:27:38 pm
Just seen a Minitex that was advertised in the Buy and Sells on here go on ebay for £275 + £20 p&p.  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320227898431&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011

You can buy them new from Texatherm for £261.60 +vat delivered free with 5 pads!

I have also just been looking at an Unger personnal bag http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Unger-ErgoTec-Personal-Bag-for-Window-Cleaning-NEW_W0QQitemZ110230582411QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110230582411 on ebay which is currently at £15, again you can buy them new from Soap National for £6.15+vat!!

With information on the internet so easily accessible now, why do people not do their homework and look at the true prices of items before bidding?

Cos there idiots! I was looking at pocket pc's on ebay to replace an old one and the winning bid was a fair bit more in price than a bit of hunting for brand new ones were.

I e mailed the bloke who bought it and sent him a link for the new (cheaper ones) - lets just say that he wasnt amused to say the least. What a plank ::) The mind boggles with these people.

I often wonder if winning bid is a friend when they do not reach their aimed for price.
