Cheers.
Gary.

Can't be long now i'm guessing this month. :)
-
This month would be correct :)
-
Alex, will you post on here when they're available?
Was looking to order a new brush this week but will hang on a bit longer if it's this month. looking forward to giving it a try. BTW how much?
Thanks
Wayne

I will post when they are available. They will be £29.95 jetted, not cheap, but they should give top quality cleaning with years of bristle life.
-
Was there a discount offered at one time? Can't remember what it was for - Superlight users or Sl-X orders? pardon me if i've got it wrong. :)
-
are they going to be a light sill brush, Alex.

Alex
is there any pics available
i dont mind paying good money for quality products, what are they like regarding scratching sills
Brett
-
I dont mind either. The Ionics crinkle dual brush only lasted 3 mths and is a right mess, will probably come in handy for con roof cleans though as it was good for scrubbing tough muck.

There will be an upgrade offer for all current Super-Lite2 owners.

Tony
There will be a Sill version available, but not straight away.
No Pics yet and if you want to scratch sills with them I'm sure you could manage it!! Not that they have been designed to do so :D

Is it a mono or flocked brush? Whats the weight? :)

Don't worry Rob, I will keep one back for you and I will get a set of fan jets in specially for you!
-
I think you better order some more fan jets Alex as I like fans too... ;)

Mr H

Ok, will do :)
-
Alex, did you try to base the brush on a Tucker or did you improve on that design? I know its lighter than a Tucker but what about the bristles, are they dupont? Luke
-
will you be showng iat Windex?
-
Oh and Alex, you should give it a name so on the forums we can easily differentiate between other brushes. For instance somone might say " I use the Gardiner brush, I love it " and someone goes on your site and sees a vikan and assumes that is the brush!! do you get me, I know I sound confusing! Luke
-
M Winner, Alex wont be showing at Windex but I will be getting the brush as soon as it comes out, so Ill post a load of pictures and do a bit of a review, Luke
-
I thought all the suppliers were going to be at Windex :(
-
As Alex said on another thread, we're way too busy and in the process of moving into new premises. When they are up and running, anyone is welcome to visit. :)

Alex,

Hi Alex,
Is the brush going to be on web site at the end of the week or would it be better to ring in order?
-
How much is it going to be.
Chris
-
It's around £29 Chris.

It will be on the website as soon as it's available so either option is viable.

Chris
Spot on Pittmonkey - £29.95

Spot on Pittmonkey - £29.95
Presumably thats without vat and delivery
Makes it expensive considering the vikan is £21.50, gold plated is it :P

But it is half the weight.... if I remember correctly, 240g I think Alex said. Weighed my Vikan rectangular one last night and its way over half a kilo!!

Not gold-plated, just low weight and excellent bristles.
It costs twice the price of the Vikan for us to buy in and therefore will actually make us less profit margin. I would not consider working with a Vikan as by comparison it's from the dark ages.
-
Will it fit the standard plastic gooseneck or does it need an adaptor?
-
Hope it lasts twice as long as the vikans.
You still failed to answer whether its without vat and delivery , but I'll take the non answer as it's without.
That's Brush £29.99
Shipping ...... £3.00 (based on your 230g supa lite)
VAT................ £5.77
Total......... £38.76 :o
I'll have 10 ;D

It will fit the standard angle adapter or our G-Fit range.
Hope it lasts twice as long as the vikans.

Sorry forgot that bit of the question, heads a bit fuzzy today!
Yes it is without delivery or VAT. As you demonstrate it is not cheap to buy, but as with most things you get what you pay for. It will only really appeal to certain buyers and these will no doubt feel that it is worth it.
Will it last twice as long as a Vikan? I doubt it as the Vikans are pretty bullet-proof, which is their main problem. I am confident though it will last a good couple of years and during that time will prove to be twice as efficient at the job of cleaning windows as a Vikan.

Strange question... but are there any pictures Alex?

Not a strange question. No there are not any as currently we only have the prototype brushes which do not look like the finished article.

Seems abit expensive
Ive had my Bently with home made jets now for about 6 months and it needs replacing...
I can replace it for about £3 all in so that will be £6 for a year........Not everyones taste but it does me
Marcus...

I like the Bentleys as well Marcus and they are the only other brush I use. However I do prefer the new brush as it does clean the glass more easily than the Bentley, given the choice I always reach for the pole with the new brush on.
-
The Bentley is flocked though isnt it? Very light... but gets a bit messy on 2 monthers and first cleans.... and doesnt rinse on ... :(
-
Well I will have 2 of them, so I hope their good!!! No Im sure theyll be great! I think £30 is a fair price for something so important. And as Alex said, it cost him more to buy/manufacture them than Vikans, Luke
-
Hi Alex
R u able to tell us the upgrade price for this brush for sl2 users?
thanks
Tim
-
Jesus Christ, you set of tight wads, it's gonna be 40 quid or near enough. give the man a break. You get what you pay for & this man has put endless hours of REAL R&D into this project. Sure it's gonna be good, will it suit everybody? who knows, 40 quid is nothing if it does the job easier/better & if not it's still worth 40 quid to find out! ::)
Tony
-
£40 for a brush surely isn't much if you already spent £300 on a pole.
-
It is a bit on the expensive side, but let's face it, designing a new brush and the hole stuff around it is expensive. It's nowhere near as expensive as a Tucker though!
-
tucker 12" brush is 14.55+vat
I've got the aquafactors catalogue here - part number 101

As an upgrade for Super-Lite2 users, they will be £19.95.

Alex,
When is the new brush available? I'm very interested in one :)
Thanks

Should be available for sending out by the end of this coming week - at last!
So are you taking orders from Monday Alex? Any news on the other project?

We're not taking pre-orders for the brush. When they are on the website, they'll be available to buy. The new pole will be coming in this week as well, so by this Friday or next Monday we will be ringing/emailing all those that have pre-ordered them.
-
Ooh, great ;)
-
what sizes are the new pole.
Chris

what sizes are the new pole.
Chris
ive just this min come off of his site i think its 25 foot but a reach of 30 foot if i read it correctly
looks like i am saving for one of these sl-x defo my arms are killing me at the end of the day hard work those gf ones ;)
-
well ive just paid out for 30 foot hybrid x-tel so would be pointless getting another 30 footer but i might try one of these brushes
Chris
-
It`s not just another 30ft pole, compared to the pole you`ve got all they have in common is length.
-
Alex
I would not consider working with a Vikan as by comparison it's from the dark ages
So you will obviously not be selling them any more

If people still want them they'll sell em, it's still a popular brush.

Morning Glyn
If we just sold my personal preference on all the WFP equipment I work with, I don't think Kirsty (the boss) would bother running Gardiner Pole Systems as it's been set up for all window cleaners, not just me ;D. Anyway, thanks for the link!
-
Alex - sorry but do you know what the final weight of the brush will be?
we use salmon brushes (11" and 15") and while they are light, if we can get our mitts on anything lighter we'd certainly have a look at changing over.
thanks

When are you going to come and work for us Chris :)
You know what I've posted better than I do!!

move over bud move over ;D

Alex, since release is imminent, can you give us a picture of the brush? :)
(money is ready for the SL-X hehe)
-
I think the people on this forum should get a special discount for the new pole and brush.
Worth a try.

Chris
Almost all the poles are pre ordered already, I don't think there is a need for a discount, I'm prepared to pay £360 for the best pole I will work with for years to come. Would be nice though, but it's expensive enough in R&D to make a pole and put it to market, I think Gardiners deserve that price. :)

Brilliant Alex.

Alex if my eyes serve me correct then on the picture of your Dad using the slx the new brush had a thread plate rather than a molded on thread, am I right? Will it go to production like this? If it does it would be good, as different makes of pole ( Tuckers and different types of threads ) could use it. I hope I havent spoiled some sort of feature! Luke

Hi Luke
You do have keen eyes. Originally the brush was going to have a moulded on thread and our contacts in China are still working on this as it would keep post-assembly time to a minimum but in order to get the brush to market we decided to go with a two piece stock (bristle holding plate and attached angle socket). This is the same that we have been using on our prototype brushes now for a year or more and it works very well. It does allow you to easily attach different types of brush stock.
The reason that we are pressing on with a moulded on thread is not to do with suitability for the job or any practical benefit but purely assembly time and overall cost of product.
-
:( Shame, I think it would be best to keep it like that! Luke
-

We'll see what customer feedback is like and make a decision. If the one piece stock comes in at the price we're hoping it will, we may be able to retail the jetted brush for about £17 which is quite a saving for the customer.
-
I take it back :)

Wednesday hopefully a picture will appear
What time on wednesday :) :) Luke

Not Wednesday now >:(
The firm has messed us around with delivery and I will not see them until next week now aaaarrrrggggghhhhhh!

I feel really sorry for you Alex, it must drive you absolutely mad. Let's hope the SL-X doesn't fair the same. :)
