Title: Pole trigger placement

I put a trigger on my pole yesterday which i got from ebay.

I put it down at the bottom of my pole and found today that it was a pain in tight spots as i had to bend down to get the trigger.

Apart from that it was not to bad feels a bit weird as i have never used a trigger and it just does not feel right.
I expect its just a case of getting used to it.
I have always used the gas valves until now which are excellent.

Not really sure yet whether i like the trigger or not.
I will give it a week and see how we go.

Where does everyone else who use a trigger place there's

can you post the link to it on ebay, I would like to test one myself also where did you get your gas valves from ?

Same place at the bottom of pole. Yes can be a bit awkward in someplaces but Ive used them from word go. maybe not the best on Con roofs.  But no fiddl;ing for on off valve. And some extra support of pole insted of gripping it all time. Where did you get it from on ebay. I need another couple for new poles?

Yes thats the one you will also need 6mm connector also ebay or gardiners.

The gas valves you can get in B&Q or gardiners.

I recommend gardiners for those though as you need the sleeves and the B&Q one's are a fraction to big and are a sod to get in.

Gardiners sell's there with the sleeve's and there sleeve's are better.

Paul - The clamp on my trigger was too big for the diameter of my pole so I had to put a sleeve (cut from plastic waste pipe) around the pole before attaching the clamp. By not tightening the clamp too tight, I am able to slide the whole assembly up and down the pole if I need to (if I need to grip the pole 2 feet from the bottom, I slide the whole assembly up 2 feet - it works great).

If your clamp is the correct size for the diameter of your pole, just try not tightening it too much and see if it will slide up and down.
