Title: Hourly Charge Rate

Hi, I have noticed a lot of talk about charges. (Surprise surprise) but could not find an up to date Poll for Charge rates. Would be very interested to get an up to date idea. I have Made this a bit more complicated as have added in the North South variable. Hope this makes sense. I think you will know whether you feel you are in the South or North! As a relative Newbie to Contract work I would be disappointed to under value myself, and even worse to drive prices down!

Never mind, choose a side! If your in the middle I guess it wont make a lot of difference either way. I'm in North West and have been finding it hard from looking at the posts to see where people are coming from. so it makes it very difficult to get an idea as to whether a lot of the posts come from London and South east, (Which I assume would charge more) but having said that maybe there's more competition so could have to charge less?????

I would say North begins North of Birmingham, But I would say your in the North if you think you are.  (If that makes sense!) This is only to try and get a feel its not too scientific. Regards Os

A bit surprising really I would have thought it would have been the other way round, I will be interested to see how the figures work out over the next few days.

Gerry, my school boy geography suggests West too, but I think its also in the South! I appreciate that South East and South West may well be very different (particulalry when you include London) which is one reason why this is so unscientific, but if you include yourself in the South I think you'll be ok.  Thanks for the advice the other day by the way, today is D-Day as far as the train contract goes. pdl, I know I know, its another one of those ones where you need to decide for yourself which end you belong, north or south, the trouble is if we included North, South, East, West, Midlands, Pre -Midnight, After Midnight, 9am-5pm etc etc we just couldnt manage it. For midlans I'd be tempted for North personally.
