around 27 hours would be spent just cleaning for me , then around 5 hours in travel time + talking . fridays i only work 1/2 day unless i need to get caught up . but as i work a few different areas the following week i could work 30 hours with only 2 hours driving . average per day would be 5 1/2 hours .

I do not have full round yet....another 18 months I suspect but here are my figures....I have an 8 weekly round so the figures revolve around it.

8 weeks ending 27.01.08 - 18 days worked (had 3 weeks holiday)
927 km travelled - average hours per day 6:01

8 weeks ending 23.03.08 (so far) 23 days worked
1017 km travelled - average hours per day 5:17

My average work day is based on the moment I start the engine until I am parked up at home and turn the engine off...all the other time spend doing paperwork, fettling with wfp hoses, connections, filling up, checking this and that are all just lost time that I do not account for.  Very rarely do I take breaks during the working day.

I tend not to chat too much...I just like to work and then spend time at home.

Dave.

get to my first job at around 8.30 work through till 1pm, 5 days per week   ... go home have some lunch , have some "me" time pick kids
up from school..... then i may go out again at 3.30 - 5.30 .....but i only go out again in the afternoon 3 days per week.

so i work about 28 hrs actualy cleaning......

it may sound a bit lazy going home at 1 and going back out at 3.30, but it works for me ,i feel fresh and raring to go after a good break....plus i get to spend time with the misses as she gets home at 1pm.
it also is good that i get to pick the kids up from school. :)

Me and me dad worked a 24 hour shift down the pit ! It was winter and we had to walk 60 miles , thank goodness for those dandelion leafes tied round with string on our feet !  There was ten of us children all sleeping in the same bed ...... 1st one out was the best dressed !
