I've got some f90, I'm having a bit of difficulty working out the ratios though.
Does anyone on here use it and what ratio, say per 5 litre do you mix to keep in the 'woolsafe' bracket???
Is it anygood mixed to higher ratios on bad carpets??

Andy if my memory serves me 5ml per 5liters very economical, instructions are on the container ;)

Yeah I've seen the ratios on the bottle but I'm perplexed trying to work out the ph values from the ratios. heres what it says on the data sheet
5mls - 5L water (light soil), 10mls - 5L water (medium soil), 15mls - 5L water (heavy soil)
Doesn't say about ph, I found this online
pH: 960: 9.5 - 10.5 640: 10.0 - 11.0 320: 10.5 - 11
What does 960 equate to in mls per litre??? And how do I work this out??
Seems a very very small amount when I work it out.
Anyone Anyone :)

Andy i would think 5mls - 5L water would be woolsafe thats what i always thought.

I use f90 all the time i usually put 70ml in the tank and that does most jobs my raptor solution tank is 42liters i think.Also use that on wool carpets to i no it might be a wee bit more than i should on wool but i dont think it makes much difference.

If its liquid then:
10mls per 10ltrs (woolsafe between PH 9.5 & 10.5) which equates to 960-1. Dont worry about the 960-1 it will confuse you!
Just stick to the mls per litre - easy for us simpletons and is impossible to get wrong ;D For instance if I fill up my tank which is 250ltrs I'll put in 250 mls. Very economical.

I find i get a lot of foam build up when i go over 5mls - 10ltrs only ever use F90 on very dirty carpet.

I used it for a while instead of Alltec Ultimate Master. Good product and worked well. Hower as Mark said foaming from it and foam from other products left in the carpet were a real problem with my Truckmount.
Ultimate master has defoamers built into it and is safe on wool and IMO better especially on light coloured carpets (probably the optical brightners).
Did my own carpet with F90 once and it got dirty really quickly never had that with UM.

We used to use UM all the time Prodry but had to find a decent liquid as putting powdered UM in my 250ltr tank eventually built up a sediment and then blocked the filters. The UM liquid is not very economical so is costly to use - do you know of any other decent liquid detergent/rinsing agent that doesnt leave any residues? I'm now a little concerned as been using F90 for about a year now :(

I cleaned my own carpets with F90 about 6 months ago 3bed house the carpets are still looking great.Never had a problem with leaving a soapy residue when using F90 in nearly 2 years.

Sorry should have put a bit more detail. My carpet is a cheap Polyprop Berber and I always used Prochem MultiPro on it. I think the F90 didnt rinse it out as well as UM does. I definately noticed some resoiling, although I might just have been a bit over critical being my capet.
I dont think F90 at with its very low dilution rates would cause re-soiling.
Still think UM gives a better finish on light coloured carpets both wool and synthetic.
UM liquid is IMO not as good as the powder and expensive. I use the powder in my TM. It does cause sludge but thats just part of my regular maintence now. A worthwhile trade off IMO

Prodry how much UM do you mix to 20 lts of water for solution mix

I know I am not doing it right But I disolve powder in water and then put straight in my fresh water tank (4 scoops per 100 litres).
Being doing that for most of the last two years and now have 700 hours on my TM with no problems. Friend of mine (marine engineer) striped my pump before Xmas and no signs of any damage at all. Does turn to sludge though in the parafin burner if to hot though.
