Title: Builders cleans - method statement and riak assesment
Post by: absolutecleaning on March 06, 2008, 04:13:18 pm
Hello

We have a possiblity of getting a fairly large contract for builders cleans on a number of flats.

We have done many builders cleans but either on bespoke builds or subbed from another cleaning firm.

I understand that many of you will have a spent a lot of time and / or money on getting yours together so understand if you dont want to share documents you have created but need some pointers please.

For example :

Does every item need listing separately? eg - same method used to door frames as for skirting boards - do they have separate sections.

Do you list exact products to be used by brand or just the generic name?

Any advice much appreciated :-\.

Cheers

Si

took me hours to sort my method statements and risk assessments out they are a pain in the ass but the formula is quite simple

you can get generic ones but beware as most of the larger developers wont accept these as all buildings/ sites are different so they will have to be site specific.

hi,

I do quite a few builders cleans etc and have some method statements, for you if needed the best way is to go through the room and jobs bit by bit, and how you are going to do it, you may need coshh statements too.....

Risk Assessements are per site and need doing for each one really...

You have to be through with them bit dont go over board ..

Yes you will.  They will not be allowed on site unless they are CSCS carded.
