We are looking at a new large office cleaning contract and they want everything eco friendly.
Just wondering if anyone knows the carbon footprint or any other eco info on RO water
-
:o :o You really need a dcoument to tell someone how clean water is ??? its pure, pure and simple maybe just record its TDS for them

Chris,
I'm not concerned about how clean it is, it's about how much energy and wastage it produces to make it pure. ie:
RO filters
DI resin
Waste water production, 1:1 at best
Extra fuel costs to hump it around
Larger van to carry the volume/weight
etc, etc.
Everything that we do on site or bring onto site has to be auditable

Blag it to them you use harvest your own water and take the pictures off a previous thread on here doddle

RO water made using tap water isn't eco-friendly due to the amount of waste water produced. We do (fact) harvest rain water and then put this through RO providing us with TDS 000ppm. Have been asked why don't just use DI? Answer resin is a chemical. We use what little waste water is left for pressure washing.

This thread is 7 years old. Couldn't you have started something fresh if you wanted to just put links to your website up?

Say you where using a 15-21 lpm washer yer so say eco friendly water is not going to last very long methinks. Using a lower spec pressure washer you will actually use more water as the job will take at least twice as long too ::)roll
Can I also ask how much pure water (harvested rain water) you are actually using per day for window cleaning?
Sorry but all this echo friendly twaddle is just a sales gimmick if you ask me as is not practical in the real world.

Wow.
March 2008.
This an oldie!
The idea of waste water is always a funny one. Water down the drain isn't "wasted". It gets recycled.
