Title: Pinching End Of Channel
Post by: jaykie on February 29, 2008, 04:17:36 pm
Recently there was a thread about pinching the end of the Channel on squeegee with pliers i think but cant find it now, I was cleaning my windows today with my ettore 10" getting some practice in but the rubber wouldnt go nicely into the corner so was wondering if pinching the end would do this. Also i have about 4 millimeters overhang of rubber each end of the channel is this right or should i cut it flush. If anyone has any pics of how to pinch the end that would be really appreciated. Hope this all makes sense.

Cheers

Chris

You will get people with different views on this. Some of my blades are pinched or "dog eared" and I like that along with a very near flush rubber.
Other people will prefer fifferent methods but that is no problem.

To do mine I held the channel in a vice and just bent the top of the channel at each end in. I also use brass end clips. I would say these are even more effective than "dog earing".

If you search for "dog earing" you should find what you are looking for.
