What water softener would you recommend?

Dear Pat

It was nice having a chat, perhaps we can catch up sometime! With the water softener I have noticed that after it has cycled my TDS goes down from 12 to 3 or 4 and gradually ascends.
I got my softener from:

In january 2006 it cost me £290:82. It is fitted in my office which used to be the kitchen and is neatly under my desk. It was fitted be Steve Veal who reccommended fitting a flow meter to cycle the softener rather than a timer. You get the choice when ordering. The lady at Lakeside was very helpful but I cannot remember her name.
