hey up guys and gals does anyone know of a chemical that will get white grout back to white , the job is a washroom that has had a fire i have been in to do the cleandown and the tiles and every thing else has come up like new. but now the client has asked me if i can get the grout back to white which will make him very happy , and me too :)

Bleach ;) Use an old tooth-brush to gently scrub the bleach, domestos etc would be fine for this. Then rinse off.

We used to do loads of fire restoration work, if you do as above the soot will just 'wick' back up and will show grey after a period of time.
Best thing to do is to scrape out just below the soot, wash as described above and then regrout, it looks so much better.
