Well iv used connectors so i could join 6mm RO tubing to standard garden hose which then goes to a 11lit Di vessel using Hozelock connectors didnt get any leaks at all.

Is yours the same or have you sorta botched the job up ;D

The pic below isnt great but you get the idea

Do you have the same booster pump?? were do you have yours setup? at the moment mine is between the prefilters and membranes but after talking with the RO man the other week he says it can go either before pre filters or after but it works better better before the pre filters so i might try that! because am only gettin 30lit per hour from it.

I bought the hozelock type male connectors (screw thread one, hozelock the other) from wilkinsons last year (i'm pretty sure it was their own brand) they were cheap as chips, used two rounds of ptfe and they dont leak at all, before I had the black ones that came with the vessel and they used to drip all day long!!!

Yes! I have the same one Dave and it boosted my pressure from 30psi to just over 70psi, Mine is before the pre-filters, I don't know what I'm getting per hour out of it, I do know it slowed down during the winter months as they do and has just lately started to pick up again.

With PTFT tape you have to wind it on from the front of the thread to the back otherwise when you screw on you are actually undoing the tape from the thread.

cheers jeff!

It was making 12 lit per hour before the booster pump. Im goin to try putting it before the pre filters see what it happens.

1 last question pleaseee mate! if you have ur booster pump before pre filters what hose do you use on the input of the booster pump? as the conection is smaller than normal garden hose so garden hose would be to big if you understand that??

Hi Dave
I just went out and checked and my pump is after the pre-filters and not before as I wrongly said, sorry my old mucker. :'(
Mine was utter rubbish before I fitted the booster pump, but afterwards it made one hell of a difference.

If I was going to put mine before the pre-filters I would check with RO-Mann to make sure I had the right fitting, once again Sorry for misleading you.

Spot on, also, you'll need about 10 wraps of ptfe for each connector. did mine last week as they started leaking, just got new hozelok ones & wrapped them with ptfe- no more leaks. ;)
