Title: FAO Glyn Omnipole
Post by: Kev R on February 25, 2008, 07:17:28 pm
Hi Glyn,

I have been offered a job in an inclosed courtyard. The height of the guttering is about 55 ft so pretty high. Its not possible to get a mewp in at all as the access is so limited. Also the courtyard is sunken. The scaffolding costs are immense again due to access.

I have used the omnivac at 48 ft with a support pole it wasn't the easiest of jobs but we did it with a little bit of common sense and hard work.  Have you ever personally or know someone that has tried to use your system at 60 ft? I guess one extra section (inside and outer) would do it. any advice please?

Kev

Hi Kevin
Just spotted this!
Yes their are some using at 60' and I havent had negative reports back with regard to using at this height.
I would believe that it is easier to clean gutters at this height than it is to clean windows, as you have support from the gutter.
You should probably take it in turns with whoever is working with you to control the main pole say 5 minite intervals then change round.
Email me some photos and I will have a look to see if I have any ideas with regard to the job.

Hi Glyn,

I dont have a photo of the job unfortunately, I did try but the courtyard is so small internally the photos didn't do it justice as it you cant fit the building in! ... I have enough space to assemble a 60 ft pole and the put it up.

Would I need one two piece section? any idea of price please Glyn?
