Hey all :) Wondering if anyone could help me...
I seem to have lost a lot of pressure, and have to have the Varistream running on boost just to get usable pressure through the brush. It seemed to start when I started using the rectangular Vikan... is this a coincidence or do I have to adjust the internal dial on the Varistream to compensate for a difference in jet size... or something along those lines?
I did have a small leak in my hose reel which I've fixed, so I dont think it can be this. Any ideas?

i had this, whats ur psi rating on ur pump, what hose and what length are you using?
-
Pump is 100psi shurflo, running 100 meters of 8mm microbore. Not sure on the bore of the pole hose.... tis about 30 foot long though.
-
different prob than mine, soz.....mine was 60 psi with 100 mts microbore, had to change to minibore.
is your battery charging ok?

i was just about to do the same question ;D ;D ;D
i thought i had air coming through so i resealed the connectors. my varistream starts and stops when i got my pole connected to the hose,
the red light doesnt come on just pumps then stops ??? ??? ???
its pumping fine to the hose (100m) but on joy after that ??? ???

Battery is charging fine. Its a brand new one. I've had a dead van battery in the past that wouldnt start the van, but would still run the pump at high pressure, so I dont think its this... will give it a charge though just to be sure.

Do you get plenty of pressure out of the end of the hose... then none at the brush?

Simple question - are your jets blocked? I.E can you push a 2mm drill bit through them? Do you get flow if you disconnect the pole hose before the Y piece?
-
Is your pre-pump filter patially blocked?

I thought it might be, but have cleaned it out but hasnt made a difference :(

The jets seem fine, but will try disconnecting the Y piece and seeing how much pressure I get out of the pole hose, thanks :)
What will happen if I turn up the Varistreams internal dial?

You will get more pressure but not nessesarily more flow. With your pole hose wide open the varistream should run continuously with no cycling. If it's still switching on and off then the blue dial will need tweeking up a notch. When the valve is shut your pump should cycle a few times then settle to just "scanning for pressure" - lights flashing every few seconds. If they flicker quite fast then the battery is low.
I had the same problem as you but somedays it would be fine with loads of flow then the next day not enough. I got so fed up with it i bought a new pump and digital varistream - that fixed it. I keep the old set as spare.

Oh yes, i got so much pressure that i crushed two crummy Hozelock reels in a row and blew the connectors off a couple of times, so reset your main dial to about eleven o'clock and only move the blue dial in very small stages.
-
Is the green light flashing on the varistream with the system running and the brush connected ? if it is the battery need charging.
Have you recently changed resin etc? could be an airlock
Hope this helps ;)

Thanks for that, will give it a try :) Dont mind running the varistream on full, but it isnt giving me much pressure, so havent got much leeway for first cleans etc.

Have changed the resin, yes, but its before the tank, so shouldnt be a problem?

And is the vent on your tank unrestricted? :)
