Is there a spray you can get to spray on fibre glass poles to thicken them up and stop them slipping

a laquer or something would be good to protect from scratching, the fiberglass ones seem to scratch really easy, after a month or so are covered in scratches.

I'm starting to get that problem.

Can't use mine full length, as it closes itself down a few inches with the first scrub. >:(

Don't want to have to start using the SL2 all the time.

Hammerite paint, works a treat, preventing your pole from slipping.
