Title: Number of websites
Post by: Steve Barnett (Carpet Care Plus) on February 24, 2008, 12:10:49 pm
Last question today - promise !

Is there an advantage in having more than one website as some of you guys have or is it more important to place the emphasis on page listings and links ?

Sorry for all the questions on a Sunday but I want to give this my best shot and have as much info from people who have been there and bought the t-shirt !

Regards

Steve

I agree with Chris, two quality sites = two bites of the cherry, so to speak.

it is worth building a few sites if you are going to optimize them differently to suit the different algorithms the search engines use.

chris

if you check now they will have sold them on or have then up for sale at some large amount. never let domains go my friend. they become worth more with age. its not what they have done as far as traffic its the age. Google looks at old URL's favorably.

when i let the allergstop one go they had it up for sale for about £600 and while they where waiting to sell, they sold advertisements on the home page to allergy companies. JB thought it was me and was going to slap a court order on me. it was had to prove that i let it go, as whois takes time to update.
